This week in athletics:
Men’s Basketball: The men’s program had its season end on March 1 as the team was defeated by top-ranked Herkimer in the Region 3 quarterfinal rounds in Herkimer.
Women’s Basketball: The women’s program also saw its season come to a close on Friday following its defeat by Mohawk Valley in the Region 3 quarterfinal rounds in Watertown.
Bowling: The bowling season concluded over the weekend following a 13th place finish in the NJCAA National Championships in Lansing, MI. Matthew DiGiulio won the singles portion of the tournament with a three-game score of 648.
Men’s Lacrosse: The lacrosse team won its season-opener, 10-6, over Mercer on Friday evening. Cole Duncan led the way with five goals and two assists. Lacrosse is home tomorrow, Tuesday, March 5, at 5 p.m., hosting Mohawk Valley at the Outdoor Athletic Complex.
Baseball: The baseball team is off to a great start and completed a series sweep over Kingsborough on March 3. They defeated Kingsborough, 6-1 and 15-4, in their two games, respectively.
