Free for students! Clean Energy Symposium at HVCC North in Malta

The Capital Region Association of Energy Engineers (AEE-CR) and the Northeast Chapter of the American Society of Heating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE-NE), in conjunction with Hudson Valley Community College, will host a day-long Clean Energy Symposium on Wednesday, March 27 at HVCC North.

This symposium will be a packed day of workforce development, networking and continuing education for individuals at all levels, including students ready to enter the workforce, professionals seeking accreditations and employers ready to recruit. The attendance capacity is 250 (with 40-50 students), who will be engaged with four tracks of comprehensive programming from the host organizations.

In addition, the event will showcase HVCC North, which comprises two LEED buildings: the Training and Education Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing and Alternative and Renewable Technologies — known as TEC-SMART since it opened in 2010 — and the brand-new STEM Education Center. Totaling $25 million in sustainable building design and geothermal sourced heating and cooling, HVCC North serves as a critical component to prepare students for a new economy that promotes job growth, environmental sustainability and technological innovation, and greatly expands HVCC’s role as a leading trainer of a local, skilled workforce to serve employers in the Capital Region.
