Students, faculty and staff:
I am very proud to announce that Hudson Valley Community College was recently selected as the newest member of the UNEVOC Network, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) global network for advancing technical and vocational education and training (TVET).
This college’s membership in this global organization is both prestigious and unique, as Hudson Valley is the only community college in the United States represented in the network of more than 230 ministries, national bodies, training providers and research institutions.
The UNEVOC Network provides a forum to exchange ideas, provide mutual assistance, share expertise, and collaborate on an international scale to enhance the quality of TVET teaching and learning across the globe.
The college was selected to join the UNEVOC Network following a rigorous process. Our inclusion is a testament to our faculty and staff’s expertise and talent, as well as the desire to partner on an international level and share best practices that will strengthen global workforce training and bolster existing skills-based training programs here on campus and within our region.
You are invited to attend the official inauguration ceremony, which will take place at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 11 in the Guenther Enrollment Services Center, followed by workshops, information sessions, networking opportunities and more. View the event webpage to learn more or register to attend.
Please also join us for a special luncheon with international cuisine and exhibits from our Student Senate at the Campus Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. All are welcome.
Sincerely,
Roger A. Ramsammy, Ph.D.
President
