Deque University Reactivated!
Dear Colleagues,
I’m writing to happily share that Deque University is reactivated for unlimited usage for the full curriculum – across SUNY. There have been several updates over the last few months, including new tutorial videos, shortcut guides, and a newer course “Overview of the ADA: Basic Concepts.”
If you already had user access, you did not lose any of your progress. If you can’t remember your password, go through the “forget password” link to reset it.
For those new to Deque U who would like to access the full curriculum, please contact your campus Deque U Administrators. If no one is listed, message your campus EIT Accessibility Officers (get to know them either way!).
I’ve attached a list of courses recommended for various roles on campus. I highly recommend everyone take “Accessibility Fundamentals – Disabilities, Guidelines, and Laws.” Also check out the courses on Basic Web and Document accessibility, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint techniques, InDesign and PDF accessibility, and more. Especially timely courses cover Effective Communication Part 1 (Communicating in Person) and Part 2 (Remote Communication).
We have another year of unlimited access to enhance our individual and collective digital accessibility expertise. Please take advantage of this comprehensive training platform. Remember, you can complete courses or simply use it as a searchable resource. Beyond the courses listed, Deque offers a wealth of informative webinars too.
Cheers,
Nazely Kurkjian
