Hudson Valley, in partnership with RPI, hosted the Capital Region New York Haas Technical Educators Conference (HTEC) on Friday, May 10, 2024.
The event began in RPI’s Sage Building, which included a keynote presentation by Shekar Garde, RPI’s Dean of School of Engineering, as well as a variety of manufacturing guided process tours. Following that, the event transitioned to Hudson Valley’s Gene F. Haas Center for Advanced Manufacturing Skills, where attendees participated in breakout sessions, visited a variety of partner exhibits and student demonstrations, and more.
The three breakout sessions included CIMCO G-Code Simulation & Mastercam; Intro to Coordinate Measuring Machines with Zeiss; and Introduction to Teaching Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
This day-long event aimed to highlight the importance of education and training of advanced manufacturing technologies and allowed attendees to connect with industry leaders and partners.
