Chemistry of Motorcycles and Cars: Lighting Fires that Move Tires

Join the HVCC Chemistry Club to view an American Chemical Society webinar entitled “Chemistry of Motorcycles and Cars: Lighting Fires that Move Tires.” When it comes to speed, cars are all about the chemistry! Learn about advances in fuel formulation and tire polymers that are used for the raceway and roadway. Dr. Terry Hogan, Dr. John Manka and Dr. Matt Crowe share how these new concepts allow for better lubrication, fuel economy, and handling.
A Zoom link will be posted on the Blackboard site for the HVCC Chemistry Club. To access the link:
Students and employees should login to Blackboard and select “Community” from the menu.
Select “Browse Organization Catalog,” type “Chemistry Club” (without quotes) into the search area and select “Go.” Once you see Chemistry Club listed, select “Enroll” and submit your enrollment.
Acknowledge the “you are enrolled” message by selecting “OK.” This should take you to the Blackboard community site for the HVCC Chemistry Club where you will gain access to the Zoom link.
