An important part of a meaningful assessment process is the use of the assessment results.
As you begin to summarize for 2020-21, please keep in mind that the key is to use your assessment findings to continuously improve your program, department or office.
What steps will the department take in response to the assessment result? How did your action plan from last year impact this year’s result? Did the extra study sessions help students learn the material? The new software help make your processes more efficient? The extended hours better serve students?
If the criteria for success has not been met, what does the department plan to do? How will your department address the deficiency? If the criteria have been met or are approaching, can the department meet a higher criterion next year?
The key is continuous improvement to help our students succeed, whether your unit or department directly OR indirectly impacts student learning. We are all here for our students!!!
