Hudson Valley’s VETROC will be sponsoring four different full-day Equine-Assisted Veterans Retreats at Higher Ground Farm, 374 Tate Road, Hoosick Falls NY 12090 in September and October:
- Sep 8, 2024 – Posttraumatic Growth & Resilience
- Sep 29, 2024 – Couples: Love languages, communication, & conflict resolution
- Oct 6, 2024 – Family Day! Bring a family member. Could be your kids, parents, siblings, etc.
- Oct 20, 2024 – Anxiety & Depression
The equine-assisted retreats are open to veterans of all eras and use horses as a way to help participants find inner peace, reconnect with nature and fellow vets, and rejuvenate body and mind. There will be equine-assisted activities, guided meditation, and mindfulness techniques. The events are free, and lunch is included.
