Welcome back everyone! I hope the first two weeks of the fall semester have been enjoyable.
Our first meeting of the Academic Senate for Fall 2024 is actually two meetings (Annual Meeting and Sept. 23 Meeting). Both meetings will take place in the BTC Meeting Rooms on Monday, Sept. 23. All members of the HVCC community are welcome to attend!
We will start the Annual Meeting promptly at 2 p.m. The September Meeting of the Academic Senate will start immediately after the Annual Meeting (around 2:30-2:40 p.m.). While there will be a zoom option available, I would like to request that all voting members of Senate attend in person unless extenuating circumstances exist that prevent in person attendance for this meeting. If a voting member of Senate has such extenuating circumstances, please notify me at m.reynolds1@hvcc.edu by Friday close of business.

Meeting Logistics for those attending in person:
The tables situated near the front of each section should be occupied by those members presenting at Monday’s meeting (those giving Special Reports and the Standing Committee Chairs). If you are speaking at the meeting, please use one of the microphones provided so that your statements are captured on the recording.
Meeting Logistics for those attending via Zoom:
The Zoom meeting will be open at 1:55 pm. We will use a waiting room. As you are admitted to the meeting, if you are a voting member, send a chat comment that you are “present”. If you are a guest, send a chat that you are a “guest”.
Please keep microphones on mute unless you have the floor to speak. When it is time to vote, please send your vote via the chat room.
I look forward to seeing you all!
Sincerely,
Mary Beth Reynolds
