Cross Country: The men’s and women’s cross country programs won the 2021 Mountain Valley Conference Championships on Saturday in Johnstown, NY. Up next is the NJCAA Region 3 Championships on Saturday, Oct. 30 at Finger Lakes Community College.
Football: The football program won its 10th NJCAA Region 3 Championship after the Vikings defeated rival Erie Community College, 21-12, on Saturday afternoon at the Outdoor Athletic Complex. The Vikings were led by running back Desi Floyd, who rushed for a season-best 167-yards on 29 carries for a 5.8 rushing average for an offense that put up 340 total yards of offense (261 rushing/79 passing).
Men’s Soccer: The men’s soccer program was defeated, 5-0, in the opening round of the 2021 NJCAA Region 3 playoffs on the road against a tough Fulton-Montgomery program in Johnstown.
Women’s Soccer: The women’s soccer program advanced to the NJCAA Region 3 quarterfinal round following its 3-0 home win over No. 9 Jefferson Community on Sunday afternoon at the Outdoor Athletic Complex. The win earns the Vikings a semifinal matchup with the region’s top-seeded Mohawk Valley Community College on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the turf field at SUNY Poly in Utica.
Women’s Volleyball: The women’s volleyball team dropped its road match against a tough Finger Lakes program on Saturday afternoon in Canandaigua. The match concludes the Vikings 2021 season as the team finished with a 2-12 record.
