Dr. Fernandez-Pallozzi honored by YWCA of the Capital Region

Dr. Denise Fernandez-Pallozzi, interim vice president of Workforce Development and Community Education, was named “2024 Resourceful Woman of the Year” by the YWCA of the Capital Region during its 24th annual awards program and fund-raising event on Sept. 25 at Franklin Plaza in downtown Troy.

The Resourceful Woman Award was established in 2000 to recognize and honor women whose professional and community pursuits advance the empowerment of women, a core principle of the YWCA’s mission. Award recipients are “inspirational, resourceful and phenomenal women making a difference in the community.” (No award was presented in 2020 due to the pandemic.)

Additional awards presented at the event included Community Partner of the Year, Woman of Inspiration, Entrepreneur, Emerging Professional and Young Girl on a Mission, as well those recognizing women devoted to activism, the arts, education, health and human services, philanthropy, public service and more.
