On Oct. 26 in the Siek Campus Center, the Black and Latino Student Union (BLSU) had an information table and offered a free raffle for cool African American/Black and Latinx/Hispanic items including Black History flash cards, a Frida Kahlo art book, a paint kit inspired by Maya Angelou, and a maraca. The raffle was open to all HVCC students.
The raffle winner — randomly selected by Chanté Coppedge and Taunya Hannibal-Williams, club co-advisors — will be announced at the next BLSU meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. in Campus Center, room 294.
All are welcome to join us to learn more about the club, share your ideas and meet Antoine Johnson, the club’s third co-advisor. If you would like to attend the BLSU meeting virtually, please contact Taunya at t.hannibalwillia@hvcc.edu or Chanté at c.coppedge@hvcc.edu for passcode details.
We look forward to seeing you there!
