Students from the Honors College were cordially invited to Princeton University to learn more about the exceptional academic and extracurricular opportunities for transfer students. Since reinstating their transfer program in 2018, their partnerships with community colleges have been critical in helping to attract exceptionally well-prepared students from a range of backgrounds. The visit started with an admission information session highlighting the broad range of programs, service opportunities, diverse co-curricular offerings, and the Princeton experience. The availability of financial assistance was quite encouraging, making it possible for students to graduate debt-free. In fact, most families with incomes up to $100K a year pay nothing for tuition, housing and food.
Following the information session, the students were given an extensive tour of the campus, featuring historic classical buildings with intricate Gothic architecture. East Pyne Hall is one of the most recognizable campus buildings, having been featured in various Hollywood movies, including most recently Oppenheimer. Nassau Hall, flanked by the famous bronze tiger statues, predates the United States and currently houses the University’s administrative offices. Besides the gorgeous architecture, there is a lot to appreciate about Princeton, most notably the intentional focus on a meaningful undergraduate collegiate experience. Students are encouraged to engage in campus life, with more than 500 student organizations for them to actively pursue their passions. For students interested in transferring to Princeton, they can be reassured that it is attainable, accessible and affordable.
