Students from Denmark tour Albany International Airport

Students from Denmark, who are visiting Hudson Valley Community College, recently toured the Albany International Airport to view the ongoing construction to develop the “New Gateway for the Capital Region.”

The 24 students are visiting from the Herningsholm Vocational School located in Herning, Denmark. The group arrived on Sept. 29 (and attended the State of the College Meeting on Sept. 30), and will depart on Oct. 25, according to Aidan Glynn, the college’s Coordinator of International Student Services.

During their time here, the students are taking some classes on campus to receive college credit, and they are spending lots of time off campus touring local businesses like the Albany Airport, Global Foundries, National Grid, NY Creates, and will take a tour of the State Capitol on Oct. 16, Glynn said.
