Nominations are now being accepted for the Meritorious Service Awards!
Do you know a classified employee who is doing an exceptional job? Give them the recognition they deserve by nominating them for a Meritorious Service Award! These awards recognize classified employees at Hudson Valley Community College, the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center and the Faculty Student Association (non-NTPs) who stand out, not only because they achieve the objectives and engage in the activities included in their job descriptions, but because they excel beyond expectations.
Any member of the college community may nominate an eligible employee. The minimum qualifications for eligibility are:
- Two (2) years of continuous classified staff employment (as of Dec. 31, 2024); and
- Outstanding performance of all job duties.
Previous award winners are eligible to be nominated again after five (5) years have passed from the year of the prior award.

Please submit an original of your nomination packet to Erin Grace Dwyer, GUN 164, no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Any packets received after that deadline cannot be accepted for consideration by the committee. The nomination guidelines and form can be found here.

The 42nd Meritorious Service Awards and Pinning Ceremony will be held on Monday, Dec. 9 at 3:15 p.m. in the BTC Auditorium with a reception immediately following.
