The Fall 20121 Withdrawal Deadline is Friday, Nov. 19, 2021.
This is just a reminder that Friday, Nov. 19 is the last day to withdraw from courses for the Fall 2021 semester. It is strongly recommended that a student discuss the impact of either course withdrawals or a total withdrawal with an academic advisor and the Financial Aid Office prior to completing the process. All completed forms must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021 in order to receive a grade of “W” (withdrawal) on your record.
Course Withdrawals
A student may withdraw from a course or courses prior to the end of the day on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021. A student must complete a Course Withdrawal Form (https://www.hvcc.edu/registrar/course-withdrawal-form.pdf) with an academic advisor. After the form has been completed and signed by both you and an advisor, it must be returned to the Registrar’s Office via HVCC email to registrar@hvcc.edu. The official date of withdrawal is the date that the completed form is received in the Registrar’s Office. Discontinuance of class attendance or notice to the instructor does not constitute authorized withdrawal.
Course withdrawals from a term may jeopardize current and future financial aid eligibility.
Total Withdrawal
A student may withdraw from all registered courses within a term prior to the end of the day on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021. To complete a total withdrawal, please send an e-mail to registrar@hvcc.edu from your HVCC e-mail account that includes your first and last name, date of birth or student ID number, your current address, and a statement of withdrawal (Please withdraw me from all my Fall 2021 courses because [include reason]) OR visit the Registrar’s Office in the Guenther Enrollment Services Center, room 136. The official date of withdrawal is the date that the form is completed.
A total withdrawal from a term may jeopardize current and future financial aid eligibility.
If a student is unable to complete either of the above via email or in-person, a signed letter will be accepted as long as it is postmarked and mailed through the U.S. Postal Service by Nov. 19, 2021. Any request received after the deadline will not be accepted.
Good luck with the rest of the semester!
