SUNY Virtual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Discussion Forum on Zoom
Wednesday, Nov. 17 from 2 to 3 p.m.
All SUNY staff — especially those who interact often with students — and faculty are invited to participate!

The goal of the program is give SUNY staff an opportunity to discuss diversity, equity, and inclusion issues in higher education in a supportive environment to help them create the inclusive mindset they need to learn the competencies necessary to serve a diverse population of students and others on their campus.

Capital EAP — Promoting Kindness and Compassion in the Workplace for Hudson Valley Community College
Wednesday, Nov. 17 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on ZOOM
This training is intended to create a kinder and more compassionate workplace. Participants will first learn about different types of workplace cultures, and gain a deeper understanding on how workplace culture can have a direct influence on workplace attitudes and how we treat each Capital EAP – Promoting Kindness and Compassion in the Workplace for Hudson Valley Community College other within our workplace. Participants will also gain insights on ways to become a more compassionate employee and ways to inspire compassion in others

Exploring Rubrics!
Friday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Zoom

Join us for a hands-on workshop about building and using rubrics. As we build a special Thanksgiving themed rubric, we will learn about the different types of rubrics, known best practices for rubrics, tools available at HVCC for building and using rubrics, and review some rubrics already in use in HVCC academic departments. You will leave with new skills and a thick packet of helpful information!
