The Comprehensive Broadband Connectivity Act of May 2021 amended the public service law to require the NYS Public Service Commission to study the availability, reliability, and cost of high-speed internet and broadband services in New York State.
The PSC is required to produce and publish on its website a detailed internet access map of the state, indicating access to internet service by location. A report of its finding is due in May 2022 to the NYS Governor, Senate and Assembly leaders, and will be updated annually.
The Department of Public Service requested the college share its surveys with faculty, staff and students. Participation is totally voluntary. The surveys seek data on the the status of broadband service at your home address, which must be provided to complete the survey.
