Neither rain nor wind nor cold stays the Honors College students from the swift completion of their volunteer activities! This best describes their tremendous efforts on the morning of Saturday, November 23rd at LaSalle Institute as they helped pack and deliver registration packets for the upcoming Troy Turkey Trot. Volunteers were assigned various tasks including packing t-shirts, handing out 5K and 10K running bibs, meticulously grouping bib safety pins, and running the packaged item out to the cars for pick up. As hundreds of cars arrived at the drive-thru packet pickup stations, the volunteers worked diligently to make the process run as smoothly as possible. The students took this opportunity to not only serve the community but also enjoyed the fellowship aspect and have fun together. One of the best highlights was seeing Honors College student, Seamus Camenga, don the turkey suit and greet people as they drove through the pick up stations!
