HVCC Architectural Technology student Susan Rahimi has been selected as one of just 20 students from across the SUNY system chosen to serve as EOP Ambassadors!

Associate Professor Doug Baxter was recently honored with the Marco J. Silvestri Award for exceptional service to the college’s Academic Senate.

On Monday, Nov. 4, the college continued its commitment to the future of local students through the HVCC Guarantee At a special event held at Lansingburgh High School.

Nearly 300 prospective students got to tour the beautiful Hudson Valley Community College campus and hear about our 80+ degree and certificate programs at the Fall Open House on Saturday, Nov. 9.

The 13th annual “Pride of Our Nation… Pride of Our College” exhibition, a display of military photographs and memorabilia submitted each year by faculty, staff and students, opened on Saturday, Nov. 9, in the Marvin Library Learning Commons at HVCC.

We were thrilled to have Ella Derbyshire, MD, join us for her inspiring talk at the BTC Auditorium.

The college’s Aeronautical Technical Institute received its final Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification to become a fully-approved Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician School.

HVCC hosted the acclaimed Joy Harjo, the 23rd U.S. Poet Laureate and member of the Muscogee Nation, for a captivating talk celebrating National Native American Heritage Month.

HVCC’s Applied Technologies Department has reached a record number of female students in automotive technology degree and certificate programs. In total, 12 women are enrolled in automotive-related majors this fall.

Once More, an exhibit of installation, video and sculpture by multidisciplinary artist Megan Suttles, opened Thursday, Nov. 7 in The Teaching Gallery at HVCC.

HVCC VET-ROC hosted a powerful event focused on PTSD, service dogs and veterans. The presentation was followed by a screening of the documentary By My Side, offering an intimate look at three veterans coping with the invisible wound of PTSD.
