As a part-time student at Hudson Valley Community College, you could potentially be eligible for Aid for Part-Time Study (APTS)!
APTS is a New York State grant program that provides funding for students attending college on a part-time basis (3-11 degree-applicable credits per term). At Hudson Valley, this grant is awarded to first-time students or returning students in a degree program who have a 2.0 or higher cumulative grade point average from prior attendance and are in good academic standing.
APTS awards at Hudson Valley Community College range from $100 to $1,000. These awards are determined by the Financial Aid Office based on availability of funds and the number of eligible applicants.
The application can be found at this link https://www.hvcc.edu/finaid/forms/index.html. The completed application is due by Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 for the spring 2022 semester. Make sure to submit your signed 2019 New York State taxes with the application.
*If you plan on adding credits to become a full-time student, you would not be eligible for APTS. Full-time students should apply for TAP at www.tapweb.org .
If you have any questions, please call (518) 629-7150 or email financialaid@hvcc.edu.
We look forward to working with you!
