In Spring 2025, Kao Kalia Yang, author of “The Latehomecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir” will visit campus to discuss her writing.
The event at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, is presented by the Cultural Affairs Program in collaboration with the English, Foreign Languages and English as a Second Language Department.
In her award-winning family memoir, Yang discusses themes that relate to history, political science, education, human services, psychology and more. Linked here are slides and a recorded presentation that introduce her work and its main themes.
Copies of “The Latehomecomer” are on reserve at the Marvin library.
