ATEC Construction Update; Turner Construction to Host Information Sessions This Thursday 2/13

Construction on the new Applied Technology Education Center (ATEC) on campus will begin this month and is expected to continue until the spring of 2027. This will impact parking and building access to Williams Hall.

  • Please note, parking lot L will be closed as of Saturday, Feb. 15.
    • Students, employees and visitors may use nearby lots J, K, H, I, any other lot or the parking garage. Refer to this map to see pedestrian routes and access around the area.
    • The parking garage is able to accommodate additional parking.
  • Access to Williams Hall will be closed from parking lot L. Please use the Williams Road entrance.

ATEC is an $85 million, 125,000-square-foot education and workforce training facility that will allow Hudson Valley to train students and help combat the labor shortage in building systems, automotive and transportation technologies, renewable energy, and semiconductor manufacturing fields. The facility will include specialized labs and classrooms with the latest tools, equipment and technology to meet modern industry needs. The facility will replace and update Williams Hall, built in 1967, and Cogan Hall, built in 1984. Williams and Cogan will both remain open as construction gets underway.

Turner Construction Company, which was awarded the contract for Construction Management Services for ATEC, will be hosting information sessions about the construction plans for  ATEC on Thursday, Feb. 13, from noon to 1 p.m. and from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. in Williams Hall, room 113. All are welcome to attend either session; pizza and refreshments will be provided.

In addition, representatives from Turner will speak at the Academic Senate meeting on Feb. 24 at 2:15 p.m. in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center Meeting Rooms. All members of the college community are welcome to attend and learn more.
