The Theatre Club will hold its first meeting Friday Feb. 11 from 2 to 3 p.m. The meeting will be held in the lobby of the Maureen Stapleton Theatre, which is located in the Siek Campus Center.
All Hudson Valley Community College students are invited and welcome to join the Theatre Club, a student-run organization under the advisement of club advisor, Prof. Julie Demers. The club will be looking for a club president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.
In the past, the club has practiced theater warm-ups and performed improv activities, as well as run bake sales and held other fundraising efforts. In the spring semesters, the club has also produced a student-run, student-written original one-act play festival, which the HVCC campus community looked forward to.
