The Elections Committee of the Academic Senate at Hudson Valley Community College is seeking nominations for the slate of senators and standing committee members. The Academic Senate holds elections for 1/3 of its membership each Spring semester.
The following senate seats are up for election in the Academic Senate. These seats are from August 1, 2022 until July 31, 2025. Anyone wishing to nominate themselves or someone else is asked to send an email to the Election Committee at senateelections@hvcc.edu.
Nominations will be accepted until Friday, Feb. 25 at 5 p.m.
Three-Year Term: August 1, 2022 – July 31, 2025
3 Seats from STEM full-time faculty
4 Seats from LAS full-time faculty
1 Seat from Health Services full-time faculty
1 Seat for the FCCC representative, full-time faculty seat
(must be able to attend all off-campus FCCC meetings in addition to senate meetings)
1 Seat for an Adjunct Professor
1 Seat for a Non-Teaching Professional
1 Seat for an Academic Dean
1 Seat for an Educational Specialist Library/LAC
In addition, the Academic Senate elects three Member-at-Large seats. These are senator seats, but not affiliated with any deanship or area. These three seats are elected from any faculty or department chair nominations.
There are also several vacancies on the Academic Senate that can be filled during this election cycle. If elected to these vacant seats, the new senator may immediately fill the position for the remainder of the position term
