Counseling and Wellness Services: Friday Flex for your Mental Health

Friday Flex For Your Mental Health

Exercise not only improves your physical health, but it can have amazing benefits for our mental health. According to HelpGuide.org, exercise can assist us in managing our depression, anxiety, stress, ADHD, PTSD and trauma more effectively, in many different ways. Each week, Counseling and Wellness Services, will provide a post with information about ways to move your mental health. Resources and videos are from various YouTube exercise channels and the John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation, whose purpose is to “Integrate salutogenic approaches, such as exercise, nutrition and mind-body practices, into treating mental illness and promoting mental wellness.”

Week 5: Sara Keller is the Group Exercise Director for Brick Bodies. She holds certifications through AFAA/NASM, Les Mills, and Balanced Body and teaches anything from kickboxing to dance to Pilates. She believes that above all movement is key to well being.

We hope you have a feel good Friday!
