We are aware that some of you may not have received recent communications regarding weather-related school closings through Everbridge, the college’s emergency notification system. Please note that Everbridge is an opt-in system; you must sign up to receive notifications.
There were also some issues identified within the system that affected some of you in receiving notifications. Since many individuals did receive the notifications, it required several college departments to work diligently with SUNY to identify and correct the issues.
We are pleased to report that these issues have now been resolved.
If you would like to receive future notifications, we need your help. Please log in to WIReD and check your current Everbridge elections:
- Select the Personal Information tab.
- Select SUNY Everbridge Notifications.
- Update Email Address, Phone, SMS, and Physical Locations as needed.
- Select Save at the bottom of the page.
From now on, we will send reminder emails each semester outlining steps similar to the ones above so you can confirm that your notification selections are set as desired.
