The Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness Committee met on Nov. 30, 2021. The meeting minutes follow.
Dr. Margaret Geehan opened the meeting at 1 pm. The meeting was held via Zoom.
Middle States Update
Each group seems to be doing well and are collecting evidence for their Standard.
Next semester will be spent mostly on writing each Working Group/Standard narratives.
The group discussed whether or not the Excelsior Scholarship is actually hurting enrollment by incentivizing students to attend four-year schools.

New Business
Institutional Effectiveness Recommendation 2020 update for 2021:
- A handout with IE Recommendations on it was reviewed.
- A list of recommendations like this is created by the AIE Committee at the close of every IE Cycle.
- This list is formulated by an assessment of the Core Indicators, college-wide surveys such as the ESS, and the results presented in the Strategic Plan reports.
- The recommendations included:
- a. Diversity of Faculty and Staff on CampuS
- b. Student Enrollment, Persistence, Retention and Graduation
- c. Assessment, Planning and Budget
- d. Shared Governance and Communication
The group will address the formulation of the 2021 IE Recommendations after the holidays.
The following Core Indicators were reviewed by the group in some detail earlier in the semester, allowing changes to be made where necessary.

–Cl 2.4 Student Satisfaction
–Cl 3.3 Graduation Rate by Ethnicity/Race
–Cl 5.5 Student Loan Default

The meeting was adjourned at 1:56 p.m.
The next meeting, scheduled for Dec. 21, 2021, was not held until Jan. 25 2022.
