Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 Degree, Certificate and Microcredential Application Deadlines
This is a reminder that the degree, certificate and microcredential application deadlines for Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 graduation are as follows:
Spring 2025 — Monday, May 5, 2025*
Summer 2025 — Monday, Aug. 4, 2025**
*IMPORTANT NOTE: A student planning to complete program requirements in Spring or Summer 2025 must submit a completed degree/certificate application to the Registrar’s Office no later than the close of business on Monday, April 7, 2025 in order to be included in May 2025 Commencement-related publications.
**IMPORTANT NOTE: Summer 2025 graduates are invited to the May Commencement ceremony. This will be the only commencement ceremony that you can attend. If you wish to participate and have your name appear in the Commencement program, you must submit a completed summer degree/certificate application by the Monday, April 7, 2025 deadline.
- If a student plans on graduating either in May or August, a completed degree/certificate application must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office by the appropriate deadline as noted above
- In order to complete the application process, a student must obtain approval from his or her advisor or department chairperson on the application. After downloading, saving and completing the application, the student should send it to his or her academic advisor or department chairperson as an attachment to a message from the student’s Hudson Valley email account. After review and approval, the completed application must be forwarded to the Registrar’s Office (registrar@hvcc.edu) no later than the close of business by the deadlines indicated above.
- Applications received after the noted date will be considered for graduation for the following semester (i.e., a spring application received on May 6 will be considered a Summer 2025 application and a summer application received on August 5 will be considered a Fall 2025 application).
- Applications are available on the Registrar’s webpage.
- In order to complete the microcredential application process, you must obtain approval from the department chairperson of the microcredential on the application.
MICROCREDENTIAL NOTE: Submission of the microcredential application does not guarantee awarding the credential. Please review the microcredential requirements in the College Catalog to confirm that you have met all requirements. Students that have earned a microcredential only are not eligible to attend the May 2025 Commencement Ceremony.
