We will be upgrading from Blackboard version 8 to Blackboard version 9.1 during intercession in January 2011.
There will be a significant change in the look and feel of Blackboard with this upgrade. There also are new features and functionality that you may want to incorporate into your courses.
We are trying to make the transition as easy as possible, so we are highly encouraging all faculty to attend training to prepare their spring 2011 courses on the Blackboard 9.1 training server. Courses can be prepared 100% on the training server and then simply be exported and imported into the production server after the upgrade.
Training resources include:
– One-on-one by appointment with the Instructional Designers (evening sessions also available by arrangement)
– Departmental demonstrations and group training sessions provided by the Instructional Designers
– Access to the Blackboard 9.1 Training server
– Self-help Tutorials
– Advertised workshops
