We’ve had some safety concerns with the older power strips, which a campus-wide replacement process will address.
During the week of March 17 (Spring Break), IIT staff will begin moving through campus buildings to replace old power strips for computing equipment.
These swaps will be fairly quick. We will unplug everything from the old strip and plug it into the new one.
We will publish a building schedule in the next few days, so you will know when we will visit for replacement. Please let us know if you have any questions.
