Counseling Services is happy to announce the return of nature walks on the new and improved Nature Trail, starting at the putting green!
Thursday March 27, Noon
Counseling Services invites you to come enjoy nature, get some exercise, and destress from the semester. Walking, especially in nature, has numerous benefits for our physical health, but also has many benefits for our mental and emotional health. To learn more about the benefits of spending time in nature, take a look at this article from the American Psychological Association.
Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join us on our walk. We will depart with the group shortly after the starting time, so please try to be timely. We will walk from the putting green to the nature trail and then back onto the campus. Please remember to wear appropriate footwear like sneakers or shoes with traction. We will look to try out various times this semester to give plenty of individuals the chance to join us for our walks as well as try to provide a consistent timeframe for anyone looking to join us weekly. Keep an eye out on the Chronicle/Student Announcements page as well as the Events page for future walks!
Feel free to use the Nature Trail even if you can’t attend our organized walks, as it is open to everyone.
Hope you get out and walk with us!
