As the YuJa migration timeline moves forward, we wanted to provide you with timely updates including details on YouTube videos and training.
What is Zoom Ingestion?
Zoom ingestion is the automatic importing of Zoom recordings to YuJa which happens when you select the Record to the Cloud option. On Monday, March 14, the transfer of Zoom ingestion from Knowmia to YuJa was completed. Like Knowmia, you will find a My Zoom Recordings folder within your YuJa Media Library. To guide you in accessing your recordings we have developed the following resources:

Important Announcement for YouTube Video Users
We confirmed with YuJa that YouTube videos within Knowmia will NOT be a part of the migration of data to YuJa. Therefore, you will need to upload any YouTube videos you have in Knowmia to YuJa and you can start using YuJa now to move your content. You can use the following resources to guide you:
YuJa Training
We have scheduled several remote training dates with YuJa. More training days and times, including in-person, will be available in early April.
- Basic Faculty/Staff Training (Overview of the platform) — Sign Up

- Tuesday, March 22: 10 to 11 a.m.
- Advanced Faculty/Staff Training (Quizzes & Gradebook, Courses & Groups, Usage and Analytics) — Sign Up

Important Reminders
- March 14 was the “cut off” date for having your Knowmia videos migrated for you to YuJa. Any new video created in Knowmia from March 14 on must be downloaded and uploaded to YuJa manually by you, and it must be done before June 30 when our account with Knowmia will be terminated. Also, any video you are using in the spring semester in Knowmia will work until June 30.
- Immediate first step for all TechSmith Knowmia users is to log in to YuJa through Blackboard to establish a user account to create your default folder, and this will be the target folder for your migrated video content – your library.
- How to Access YuJa (2-Ways)
Option 1: From outside of a course- Login to Blackboard
- From the Home page, select YuJa Video Platform (Library) from Faculty/Staff Useful Links and follow prompts to log in.
- Option 2: Within a course
- Login to Blackboard
- Go to a course
- From the Course Menu, select the Add Menu Item (+) symbol, and choose Tool Link from the menu
- Enter YuJa Video Platform in the Name: field
- Select YuJa Video Platform from the Type: drop-down list
- Available to Users checkbox
- Leave unchecked until you are ready for students to access it
- Select Submit
