The Rockefeller Institute of Government is now accepting applications from undergraduate students enrolled for the fall 2025 semester at participating schools—University at Albany, SUNY Empire State College, and Hudson Valley Community College—that are interested in pursuing work in public policy research and practice. More information on the internship application is available here.
This internship is a credit-bearing and paid internship for students who are enrolled full-time at their respective institutions. Interns are paid $15.50/hour for 10 hours a week for 15 weeks. Interns will meet for three hours in person from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Wednesdays at the Rockefeller Institute in Albany and can complete the remaining seven hours remotely. Once applications are reviewed and placements for the program are offered/accepted students must register for the appropriate course at their institution and have paid the required tuition fees in order to receive credit for the internship.
The application deadline is Monday, May 2, at 5 p.m. To apply, please send an email to Zan Strumfeld at Zan.Strumfeld@rock.suny.edu (and please copy HVCC Prof. Robert Whitaker, intern liaison, at r.whitaker@hvcc.edu) with the following materials (all in one email):
· Your resume.

· Contact information for 2-3 professional or academic references (include email contact). A reference letter is not required.
