OSHA 10 Class

The Office of Workforce Development and Community Education is pleased to offer an OSHA 10 class this summer.

This 10-hour construction safety course is intended for entry-level participants. The class is offered at no cost to students through the Strengthening the Offshore Wind Energy Workforce: Creating the Capital Region Pipeline for the Wind Turbine Service Technicians in New York State Grant. Each student will receive an OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety wallet card upon successful completion. Training is delivered by a recognized OSHA-10 Construction Safety instructor.

Topic areas covered include the mandatory OSHA-10 Construction Safety topics including, but not limited to:

  • Introduction to OSHA
  • The OSHA Focus Four Hazards
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Health Hazards in Construction, Excavations and Ladders
