Congratulations to Rachel Duncan, the recipient of the 2024-2025, Dr. Joseph J. Bulmer Award for Excellence in Library Research for the paper, “Malala Yousafzai: An Agent of Advocacy”. The paper was submitted in fulfillment of requirements for English Composition I, under the direction of Jennifer Austin, an assistant professor in the English, Foreign Languages and English as a Second Language Department.
Second-place winner is Rana Ayvaz for the paper “The World of Esthetics”. The paper was submitted in the fulfillment of requirements for English Composition II, under the direction of Julie Demers, an assistant professor in the English, Foreign Languages and English as a Second Language Department.
Duncan and Ayvaz will be recognized in the commencement program and on a perpetual plaque in the Dwight Marvin Library Learning Commons. They will also receive a certificate administered by the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation.
