Hudson Valley Community College women’s track and field sprinter, Lia Soares, had a meet to remember over the weekend as she broke the school record in the women’s 100m dash with her seventh-place finish and an official time of 13.34. She broke the 27-year old record set by Violet Malema by .01 seconds (13.34). Soares also placed 12th in the 200m dash with a time of 27.78 seconds.
