Important Bookstore Updates

Dear Campus Community,

We wanted to share a quick update regarding our eBook provider and ask for your assistance in ensuring a smooth start to the semester for our students.

eBook Provider Update
Our eBook platform has transitioned from RedShelf to VitalSource, as RedShelf has been acquired by VitalSource. The eBook redemption process remains very similar, and we do not anticipate major changes for students.

For purchases made in-store, a 20-digit pin is printed on the receipt and attached to redemption instructions. For online purchases, the redemption code will be sent directly to the email address attached to the order.

If you or your students experience any difficulties accessing eBooks, please direct them to the bookstore eBook help desk (located inside the bookstore to the left), where our staff is available to assist.

Course Materials Review Request
We kindly ask that all instructors visit the bookstore website (bookstore.hvcc.edu) and review the course(s) they are teaching to confirm the listed materials are accurate. We also ask that any additional required, optional or suggested materials (i.e., specific calculator, type of drawing pater, etc.) are conveyed to the bookstore staff to ensure it is available for purchase in store.

For courses using digital courseware, please verify that your class is either linked in Brightspace or students are provided with any required Course ID or Course Key.

Your support in reviewing these details helps prevent confusion and delays in student access.
