Members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society volunteered at the South End Children’s Cafe in Albany on April 13. Along with other volunteers from UAlbany and SEFCU, they spent the afternoon participating in fun Easter activities with the children, ranging in age from 4 to 12 years old.
First, they set up egg dye kits for the kids and then headed to the Radix Ecological Sustainability Center to hide Easter eggs. When the children arrived, the volunteers enjoyed watching them eagerly search for the eggs and cheered them on to find more. The fun continued as they decorated their Easter eggs with bright colors and showcased their artistic flair.
It was a fun afternoon filled with laughter, creativity and pure enjoyment. The excitement continued with a special visit from the Easter Bunny! The looks on the children’s and volunteer’s faces were truly memorable. A big thank you to the amazing staff at the South End Children’s Cafe who always make the time with the children there so special.
