Campus Poetry Project celebrates National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry Month!
The English, Foreign Languages and English as a Second Language Department is celebrating National Poetry Month with its annual Campus Poetry Project.*

Let’s continue the celebration of poetry with the following:

Fire and Ice

Robert Frost (1874-1963)

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

First printed in Harper’s Magazine, December 1920
