Charting Your Course: Introduction to Creating Charts in Microsoft Excel
The following will be covered:
MPI. Chart Types: column, bar, line, pie
MPII. Creating Charts: select data and labels, insert tab, charts group, chart type
MPIII. Chart Elements: axes, axis title, chart title, data labels, gridlines, legend, trend line
MPIV. Formatting Charts: chart tools tab, chart style, moving chart

Excel by the Numbers: As Easy as 1 + 1: (Part I)
This is a two-part workshop consisting of two, 1.5 hour segments. It is strongly suggested that participants attend both segments.
The workshops are designed to provide participants with the knowledge and experience needed to create and use formulas and apply functions within Excel workbooks. Participants will open, modify, and save an Excel workbook as well as learn to create and navigate between worksheets.
Part I beings with an introduction to the Excel window. Participants will learn Excel terminology as they explore the Ribbon, Tabs, Groups, Quick Access Toolbar, Title bar, and the Excel status bar. During this segment, participants will also learn how to manually create simple mathematical formulas, and they will use the AutoSum feature to perform calculations. Instruction and attention will also be focused on how to copy and paste formulas. At the completion of this segment, participants should be comfortable creating and saving an Excel workbook; creating simple formulas; performing calculations using the AutoSum feature; and copying and pasting formulas.
Thursday, May 12 from 3 to 5 P.M. via Zoom
Excel by the Numbers: As Easy as 1 + 1: (Part II)
This is a two-part workshop consisting of two, 1.5 hour segments. It is strongly suggested that participants complete Part I prior to taking Part II.
The workshops are designed to provide participants with the knowledge and experience needed to create and use formulas and apply functions within Excel workbooks. Participants will open, modify, and save an Excel workbook as well as learn to create and navigate between worksheets.
In Part II, participants will build upon the knowledge acquired during the first segment. They will create and utilize more complicated formulas, which incorporate manually created formulas and functions to perform complex calculations. Participants will learn how to use the Insert Function feature extensively during Part II. Participants will use more complicated functions such as the If, PMT, and Lookup functions.
It is strongly suggested that participants complete Excel by the Numbers: As Easy as 1 + 1: (Part I).
