COVID-19 Vaccine Requirements

Returning and new students:

Please be aware of the current registration protocols pertinent to summer/fall classes.

All students registering for in-person summer and/or fall 2022 classes must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination (a two-dose series of Pfizer/Moderna or one-dose of Johnson & Johnson). At this time, COVID-19 boosters are highly recommended, but not required, for upcoming terms.

  • If you are vaccinated, you must submit proof to the Health Services office using the “Submit Vaccination Record” form on the college’s COVID-19 webpage, if you have not done so already.
  • If you cannot receive a vaccine for religious or medical reasons, you should complete the appropriate Request for Exemption form available on the Health Services’ Immunizations and Vaccinations forms webpage, if you have not done so already.

NOTE: Health Science students are not eligible to receive an exemption, and some programs and related clinical/internship settings may require a COVID-19 booster.

Students who have not submitted proof vaccination, or received an approved exemption, will be able to register for in-person classes, but must provide proof of vaccination in order to attend. Those with an approved exemption who come to campus must participate in weekly COVID-19 surveillance testing offered on campus.

The college’s vaccine requirements and other health and safety protocols are subject to change, so please continue to check your Hudson Valley email, and visit www.hvcc.edu/covid19 for additional information and the forms mentioned in this email.
