What: Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Date: Thursday Oct. 28, 2010
Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Location: Campus Center
Details:
1) Pumpkins may be carved or decorated
2) Pumpkins will be judged on two factors:
a. Creativity
b. School Spirit
3) Contest will be divided and judged separately in two different groups:
a. Group 1: Students
b. Group 2: Faculty & Staff
4) 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded
a. 1st Place = iPod Touch
b. 2nd Place = $75 Gift Certificate to HVCC Bookstore
c. 3rd Place = $40 Gift Certificate to HVCC Bookstore
Instructions:
1) Pick-up a free pumpkin from Ken Dagostino in the Athletics Office (MCD 215) or from Alfredo Balarin in the Student Activities Office (CTR214) any time between Oct. 14 and 26.
2) Sign up with your name and contact information wherever you pick up your pumpkin
3) Decorate your pumpkin
4) Write or mark your name/contact information somewhere on your pumpkin or on something attached to your pumpkin (in case your pumpkin wins we can identify you)
5) Drop off your pumpkin any time on Wednesday, Oct. 27 or Thursday Oct. 28 (before 10 am), on the first floor in the campus center
a. Tables will be set up for the event near the digital monitor and staircase
b. You may drop off your pumpkin to any table designated for the event
6) Join us on Thursday Oct. 28 between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. for PUMPKIN PALOOZA II
7) Judging for the contest will begin at Noon
8) Winners will be announced at 1 p.m.
