Are you interested in welding, but not sure where to start? The Office of Workforce Development is pleased to offer Introduction to Shielded Metal Arc Welding, a non-credit course, this summer.
This 120-hour course provides an intensive, full-time introduction to shielded metal arc welding. By incorporating virtual reality welders in the program, students learn the required skills more quickly compared to traditional methods. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate. There is no prerequisite to take this course.
Grant funding is available for those who register for this course.
Location: Hudson Valley Community College Main Campus
Schedule: July 11 – July 29
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Each class day includes a 30-minute lunch and two, 15-minute breaks.)
