As I complete my fourth year as President of HVCC, I just want everyone to know how much I appreciate all the good, hard work you all do to keep the college running smoothly and, more importantly, to serve our students.
To show my sincere appreciation to all of you, I’m hosting a Staff Appreciation Day Barbecue on Thursday, June 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the Siek Campus Center. Although I can’t cancel classes, I can close offices.
Supervisors, if your office doesn’t have any previously-arranged appointments with students, please CLOSE your office for an hour and put a sign on the door to direct everyone to the barbecue! I want to make sure everyone on your staff has an opportunity to attend to enjoy the food, the music and the camaraderie.
All students are also welcome to attend!
I hope to see you there so I can express my thanks in person.
Please note: It has come to my attention that evening employees cannot attend today’s event. Next week, I’ll announce the date of the Evening Staff Appreciation Day Barbecue!
