The Office of Workforce Development is pleased to offer Electrical Wiring: Principles and Practices, a non-credit course, this coming Fall 2022.
Whether you are a professional looking to brush-up, a student interested in entering a related field, or a DIY homeowner, the 32-hour Electrical Wiring: Principles and Practices training course will provide you with entry-level electrical skills. The course offers instruction in performing basic electrical tasks, including recognizing distinguishing characteristics of electrical systems and applying design principles and calculations for electrical distribution systems. This course also provides the necessary foundation in electricity needed by those who wish to study the field of photovoltaics.
Additionally, this course will be a mixture of lecture and electrical lab. Electrical safety for residential wiring will be discussed before any hands-on projects will be assigned. Multi-meters will be discussed and demonstrated on how to use on live electrical circuits.
