ITS is changing the way it provides some of its services. Some things will remain the same, like calling ext. 7364 from a classroom for immediate assistance.
Our helpdesk will no longer be a walk-in model for technical support. This will enable us to provide the best service possible for emergent issues and outstanding support tickets.
Emailing helpdesk@hvcc.edu is the quickest way to submit a general support ticket.
If you have a specific need like dropping off a laptop, password reset, picking up repaired equipment, or some personalized assistance, you can book time with a service technician by visiting itbookings.hvcc.edu.
As a reminder, students are directed to the Computer Learning Center (MRV lower level) for assistance. A new feature of support is the ability of CLC staff to reset faculty and staff passwords. We are also engaging with the CLC to share resources for addressing student support requests.
UPDATE: ITS helpdesk staff will be stationed at the CLC to help students from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday for the first two weeks of classes. We will repeat this for the last week of classes.
We are also streamlining the reporting of bus pass issues. The CLC will have tools to gather pertinent information without needing to send students to another location.
Our goal is to provide our students, faculty and staff with the best possible support.
