The staff in the Center for Careers and Transfer is here to help.
The CCT is located in the Siek Campus Center, room 290, and is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays with remote evening appointments available upon request. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins will be accommodated when possible.
Individual student appointments are available for:
- Career Counseling — to help set career goals using interests, skills and values.
- Transfer Counseling — to help narrow down transfer choices and learn the transfer process. It is never too early to begin thinking about and planning for transfer!
- Resume Critique — after using the CCT’s resume writing guide, meet with a counselor for tips to improve your resume.
- Interview Preparation — learn about some commonly asked questions and formulate your response.
We offer the following programs:
- Advisor-in-Residence — provides students the opportunity to meet individually by appointment with transfer representatives from four-year institutions in the CCT to plan Hudson Valley coursework and optimize transfer plans. It is never too early to begin planning for transfer!
- College Information Table — Representatives from four-year colleges and universities staff a table in the Campus Center to provide information to students and answer questions.
- On-Campus Recruiting — Employers staff a table in the Campus Center to recruit students for full- and part-time employment.

Upcoming CCT Events
- Wednesday, Sept. 21 — Part-Time Job Fair — 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Campus Center, first floor — Up to 50 local employers from a variety of industries recruiting for part-time opportunities for students.
- Wednesday, Oct. 19 — Transfer Fair — 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Campus Center, first floor — Students have the opportunity to meet transfer representatives from four-year institutions from across the country.
