The men’s bowling team finished first out of 12 teams at the Hawk Invitational Sunday in Utica.
The Vikings beat out rival, Erie Community College, by over 500 pins. Ryan Sickler (Guilderland, Guilderland) won the singles event, with a score of 962. Eric Birdsall (Colonie, Colonie) rolled a 907 to finish in second place. Birdsall also finished second in all events, with a score of 1701.
The women’s team finished fourth out of nine teams. High for the women was Nicole Sheldon (Columbia, East Greenbush) with a score of 1346.
The men’s and women’s bowling teams’ next event is a conference match Wednesday, Jan. 19 at Hoe Bowl Lanes in Catskill at 3 p.m.
