As we embark upon a new semester, I wish to bring to your attention a change that has been made regarding the student seating in Brahan Hall 215 where a new-style desk/chair is being “tested.”
In preparation for the construction of the new science building, a student desk chair has been selected for this trial that is unlike anything now in use on campus.
The new style chair is equipped with casters and can be easily rearranged for whatever instructional setting an instructor may need. Additionally, the chair base has ample space for the student’s learning materials and personal property.
I am writing to request feedback from all campus constituencies: thoughts, ideas, criticisms, would be greatly appreciated and can be submitted directly to c.campana@hvcc.edu, or the Office of Physical Plant. For instructors teaching in this room, I would be more than happy to meet with you and seek direct feedback from your students.
